Since September 2021, pursuant to EO 14046, the US has imposed sanctions related to Ethiopia in response to widespread violence, atrocities, and serious human rights abuse, including those involving ethnic-based violence, rape, and obstruction of humanitarian operations. There are no UN, EU, or UK sanctions on Ethiopia.
