Since 2016, the UN has introduced wide-ranging sanctions on North Korea, including bans on the import from North Korea of coal, iron, electrical equipment and many other goods, limitations on the export to North Korea of oil, and bans on the export to North Korea of jet fuel, luxury goods, textiles, and other goods. The EU, UK, and US implement UN sanctions and also have wide-ranging autonomous sanctions regimes.
